|RANK:||Starfleet -- Lieutenant Junior Grade|
Leman has a vast intrest in humans-- thinking they are both brilliant and stupid creatures at the same time. He marvels at their cognative abilities, especially a sense of almost pre-cognition, when they have no telepathic abilities.
He enjoys meeting new people, and treating a wide variety of species, minds, and learning. He tends to be a drifter, not spending too much time on one ship so he can move on.
|FAMILY HISTORY:||The third of four sons to Jeman Desu and Madame Shalle Desu of Betazed.His brothers are, in order of birth, Tolman, Reman, and Weman. Tolman and Reman are counselors based on Betazed and Earth respectively, and Wemar is attending university on Trill at the Academy of Planetary Sciences. He remains close to his family, and when granted leave, he usually heads home to Betazed. He always has a nightly communique from his parents, and to his younger brother.|

Like all Betazoids, Lemar has telepathic abilities and like many has chosen to use these abilities to help the Federation though the means of counseling. Unlike his brothers, he enjoyed traveling on starships and decided not to pursue a planet based practice, enrolling in Starfleet to meet as many people as he could.
His telepathic senses are incredibly in-tune, even for Betazoids. It is rumored that his telepathy was 'switched on' at a young age and is thus less able to tune people out. However this is a rumor started by himself, mainly as an excuse to look odd in between classes.
Performance at the Academy was superior, graduating in the top ten of his class.
He is behaviorally mal-adjusted, and seems to lack a concept of the 'looking glass self'. However he poses no danger to self or others and just seems to basque in being silly which he claims increases his ability to perform.
Quirks he exhibit include: sitting oddly in his chair, fixating on a random object for long periods of time, an enjoyment for tedious and boring tasks, holding objects with supreme delicacy, and an insatiable sweet-tooth. (Studies of his replicator orders show that he rarely eats 'proper food'.)
