    PERSONAL INFORMATION
HOME: Glasgow, Scotland
INTERESTS: In a sense Ian's job is his primary interest, he takes great enjoyment out of knowing that his ship is running smoothly and will often head out of main engineering personally in order to carry out repairs.

Cameron is a fan of 20th/21st century music, mainly rock and roll and the blues. Ian is an avid musician even going so far as to have several of the instruments on the wall of his quarters.

Ian spends some free time in the holodeck using the music programs or running simulations to increase his engineering skills and can also be found in ten forward.

Also, Ian enjoys sports such as boxing and rugby and has a keen interest in starfleet history, primarily in the engineering field.
FAMILY HISTORY: Ian's family is unknown to him and everyone else. When Ian was a toddler there was a massive industrial disaster in the shipbuilding sector of the city (Glasgow's main source of industry). During the aftermath the children of the workers were found, Ian was one of them. Due to the nature of the accident, there was no way to identify the bodies and without any information the children’s extended families could not be found, thus the children were branded as disaster orphans and placed in institutional care. Also, due to this lack of information, the children were renamed, based on a first name chosen by the head of the institution at that time and a second name derived from the name of the orphanage.
    CAREER HISTORY
EDUCATION: Originally Ian was originally in training to be a marine in starfleet until he eventually decided he would rather have a career in engineering, namely after making a habit out of taking devices apart and putting them back together in his spare time.......including phasers and consoles in his quarters, much to the annoyance of his peers. While in training Ian studied Propulsion, warp travel physics and transporter theory along with shuttle piloting.
CAREER HISTORY: 2 years in starfleet marine training before switching to engineering and officer training. Now serving aboard the USS Odyssey in the Andromeda galaxy.
SPECIALTIES: Ian is a jack of all trades in terms of his engineering skills and can lend a hand wherever his expertise. Due to his work in the military he also has proficiency with particle weapons. Ian has also gained an affinity with alien technology due to his time spent in the Andromeda galaxy.
