|RANK:||Starfleet -- Lieutenant Junior Grade|
Interests vary from a stem of what interests him. In one hand, he enjoyed cooking, reading, very rarely will you find an empty shelf in Hovel's office or quarters.
He had a stint of addiction with the drug Red Eye, a hallucinogenic compound found on the edge of fringe space and the usual traffic drug brought into the Federation by Orion Syndicate pirates. He kicked the habit at 33, or so he says.
Richard William Hovel - father
Miranda Chase Hovel - mother
Amanda Hovel - wife/divorced
John Hopkins University School of Medicine:
A brash medical doctor, Hovel spent most of his internship in Starfleet medicine after graduation from JHUCM. Redicencies in infectious diseases, diagnostic medicine, and extraterrestrial medicine/surgery. He later took on teaching for a small term of 10 years; again, brash and demanding, never remembering a students name or taking any precedence over observed greatness.
Chemistry: Hovel holds two degrees in the field of Chemistry. It is, rather pointed, to suggest that during his addiction, in order to stop paying for the Red Eye Drug, he turned to it's manufacturing. Although such speculations have yet to be proven.
Professor of Diagnostic Medicine 10 year term
Hillsborough Colony/Meringue Cluster:
Chief of Surgery 3 years
U.S.S. Nova (Medical Ship)
Medical Department/Surgery 5 years
Chief Medical Officer/Current
Hovel has a high level of arrogance about him, but highly preceptive and intelligent. He has contempt with many societal institutions and pegs himself as being a nihilist. Enigmatic and narcissistic when it comes to personal responds about his life and further variations of conversationist he rather distances himself from others and treats them with cruel unabashed humor that ripples sarcasm.
In Medical Science, he is brilliant, all be it a, "black sheep," within the scientific community. Ether afraid or sheer hate for success, Hovel pretty much has done very little to help his career in regard to effort and not with advances presented to him. He is especially skilled in diagnostic and surgical medicine.
