    PERSONAL INFORMATION
HOME: Starbase 213
INTERESTS: When off-duty, he is an amateur magician, using his engineering knowledge to manufacture as many illusions as his imagination can think up. He loves to entertain people and is constantly thinking of new ways to do so.
FAMILY HISTORY: He comes from a very traditional Korean family, and is the younger of two boys. His older brother Hyun Jin-Ho chose to follow his own dreams of music and has excelled in several of the classical Earth stringed instruments, as well as a few that originated off the human home planet. This landed him a job with the Risa Grand Orchestra, for which the family is very proud of him.

Yong followed his father, but instead of taking the more difficult, and his father believes more rewarding, road of Star Fleet Academy, he enlisted and decided to work his way up. He has loved every minute.

His mother works as a tailor in the starbase's clothing store, and often sends him clothing that reflects his Korean heritage.
    CAREER HISTORY
EDUCATION: Starbase primary and secondary school, then enlisted.
CAREER HISTORY: For the most part, he's been shuffled from ship to ship, never gaining in rank past CPO. He doesn't care to climb the ladder of officer rank, which is good, since his cut-ups during those tense situations sometimes get him in trouble.
SPECIALTIES: No true specialties in the field of engineering, though he studied hard like the majority of oriental children are made to do, unless you count holographics, which his parents didn't, and so he doesn't.

He does, however, specialize in making jokes and trying to lighten the mood during tense situations, so as to keep his crewmates on a more even keel and working better.

MEDALS: None.
